Each single piece is brilliantly designed to cater to the clients need for variety. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. The Cafe “ Narumeg” has fabulous menu and offers a wide range of delectable dishes. Here, the shopping experience is an endearing one with a longing to revisit the boutique again and again! The best part is the “ feel good factor” that the amount spent in the store has a trickle down effect to reach the people at the grass-root levels and thus help the real artisans and clothes makers to become better off and live a life of dignity. A real example of inclusive capitalism!! I love shopping in The Nameg store each time I visit Kolkata. Its quite of a boutique apart - complete with a uniquely styled delightful cafeteria tucked in for a delectable pause and a very thoughtfully provided elevator service for its leg weary customers! I love lingering on for hours, browsing its treasure trove collection from such wonderful unexpected places of far and near -its array of brilliantly selected pieces of beautifully hand woven sarees, home linen,traditional articles from the furthest corners of the country to its exotic vases, bags, riffraff from the far flung Middle east- the colours are just mind blowing !
One weak point of the store is that it causes grave dilemma for its customers to make up the mind on what to pick and what to leave from all its great mood and heart lifting offerings ! 😅
